All-Russian Forum on Specially Protected Natural Territories to be held in Sochi under motto “We Save Nature for Hundred Years!”

“We save nature for Hundred years!”. Under this motto, from September 29 to October 1, 2017 the All-Russian Forum on Specially Protected Natural Territories will be held in Sochi. The event is organized by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation. In the year of the centennial anniversary of the Russian reserve system, the forum will also be a kind of reporting event, which will summarize the interim results of the Year of Protected Areas, and a platform for developing and discussing further plans for the development of Russian specially protected natural areas. Participants will discuss such topics as anti-poaching, cognitive tourism in specially protected natural areas, protection of rare species, development of the young naturalist movement, etc.

Managers and employees of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation and all specialized subordinate structures, representatives of various protected areas of Russia, representatives of environmental NGOs, including foreign, eco-activists and volunteers from all over the country will take part in the event.
