Prompt reaction of ecologists helped to prevent damage from illegal mining

Illegal quarry was discovered in the Kaibitsky district. In the village of Bolshiye Kaybitsy, on the territory adjacent to the solid waste landfill, excavation was carried out to develop subsoil. During the inspection, inspectors of the Zavolzhsky territorial administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the RT together with the Prosecutor's Office of the Kaibitsky District of the RT found that the extraction of common minerals (carbonate rocks and clay) was carried out without the corresponding license. Thanks to the prompt work of specialists, damage has not been done. The quarry has been reclaimed on site. Upon the fact of unlicensed use of subsoil, an administrative report has been drawn up against the offender in accordance with Part 1 of Article 7.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation.
