Competitions in underwater hunting on Volga

Competitions in sports underwater hunting, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Russian DOSAAF, started on ​the Volga River, near the village Zaimishche. The organizers of the event are the Federation of Underwater Activities of the Republic of Tatarstan, DOSAAF RT, LLC “Maritime Assembly of the Republic of Tatarstan”, together with the administration of the Kirov and Moscow districts of Kazan. With a salutatory word, the head of the Central Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilham Sabirov addressed the participants of the competition. “Tatarstan pays special attention to maintaining the environment. Now throughout the territory of the republic there are actions to clean up the coastal zones and the bottom of reservoirs. Favourable ecological situation allows holding competitions of this level in the territory of Tatarstan,” Ilham Sabirov noted. As the president of the Federation Alexey Ovchinnikov told, sportsmen from Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny, Nizhnekamsk, Menzelinsk, Zainsk, Zelenodolsk, Almetyevsk, as well as the team of the Volga-Urals region of the Russian Federation take part in this competition. The event is aimed at attracting citizens to diving, military-applied sports, and popularizing scuba diving.
