Children ECO festival in Yelabuga

On June 17, 2017 Elabuga will see an ecological fest for children. In the Park of Culture and Rest Shishkinsky ponds of Elabuga there will be organized cognitive games and quizzes, where children can learn much interesting about rare species of animals, protected territories of the Republic of Tatarstan. For those who like to paint, there will be a drawings contest in various categories: “Nature of Your Home”, “Your Favourite Animal”, “Spirit of Nature”, etc., and competition of drawings on asphalt. Kids will be told a lot of new and interesting things at the master classes on garbage sorting. Also children will be able to visit the zone of face painting, watch cartoons about ecology and learn the technique of origami making. The symbol of the Republic of Tatarstan – snow leopard – will be a symbol of all competitions and interactive sites held during the fest. The event is organized in the framework of the Year of Ecology and Public Spaces in the Republic of Tatarstan and Youth Day by the youth environmental movement “Budetchisto” with the support of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The event is held in order to attract the public attention to environmental issues and is aimed at updating the snow leopard revival campaign. The fest begins at 16.00.
