Due to the interaction with large enterprises of Nizhnekamsk, the number of air exceedances in this zone has decreased significantly

Today, the Ministry of Ecology of Tatarstan hosted a meeting of the Interdepartmental permanent Working Group on ensuring environmental safety in the development of the Nizhnekamsk industrial hub.  Let us recall that the working group, the coordination of which is assigned to the Ministry of Ecology, was established in 2006.  The meeting was attended by Tatarstan Minister of Ecology Alexander Shadrikov, head of the Volga-Kama Interregional Department of the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources Fayaz Shakirov, Tatar Environmental Inter-district Prosecutor Airat Nizamiev, heads of the largest enterprises of the Nizhnekamsk region and others.

The meeting summed up the results of the work aimed at protecting the environment and ensuring environmental safety in the Nizhnekamsk district.

In his report, the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Alexander Shadrikov, positively assessed the environmental protection activities of the largest enterprises in Nizhnekamsk. He noted that thanks to such a responsible approach, the number of recorded exceedances in the air of this zone decreased by 5.7 times.  "We see that since 2019, complaints about air quality from residents of Nizhnekamsk district have decreased by almost 10 times. If in 2019 there were 583 appeals, then this year we received 60 complaints," said Alexander Shadrikov.

Fayaz Shakirov, Head of the Volga-Kama Interregional Department of Rosprirodnadzor, informed about the work carried out by the department in 2022 and 2023 in the field of atmospheric air protection in the zone of influence of the Nizhnekamsk industrial hub.

The General Director of PJSC Nizhnekamskneftekhim, Marat Falyakhov, also made a report.

"Every year we introduce new technologies, reconstruct and modernize existing facilities. All our initiatives are aimed at improving the environmental friendliness of production. Improving the environmental situation in the Nizhnekamsk district is one of the main priorities of our environmental activities," said the General Director of Nizhnekamskneftekhim. 

Roman Bulatov, Head of the Executive Committee of the Nizhnekamsk Municipal District, reported on the work of the water supply and sewerage system in Nizhnekamsk in the area of the BSI and the village of Stroiteley, as well as on the construction of a section of the M-7 bypass highway to reduce transit traffic flow towards the Nizhnekamsk industrial hub.
