On the eve of the New Year holidays and long weekends, inspectors of the Zakamsky territorial Department of the Ministry of Ecology of Tatarstan gave several tips to Nizhnekamsk third-graders of the Krasnoklyuchinsky school on how to properly take care of forest dwellers.

Here are some rules for winter feeding:

  1. It is better to feed animals at low temperatures.
  2. Acorns, apples and nuts are the best friends for squirrels. Also, the forest rodent is not averse to eating dried apples, pine nuts, hazelnuts in their shells.
  3. Do not feed wild animals by hand – it can be dangerous.

During the lesson, the inspectors played quizzes and riddles with the children. The students shared their eco-habits with ecologists. We consolidated our knowledge by watching the cartoon "Forest Dwellers" together.

"In order for children to understand the importance of preserving our nature, they need to learn to observe its phenomena, plants and animals – of course, we help them with this. Inspectors of the Ministry of Ecology regularly hold such events to instill environmental knowledge and culture in children," ecologists of the Zakamsky TA note.
