The first specialized ecological class of Tatarstan had a lesson dedicated to reserved areas

Students of the first specialized ecological class in the republic made a virtual excursion to the protected areas of Tatarstan.  Specialists of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan and employees of Volga-Kama State Natural Biosphere Reserve helped to the students to learn about representatives of flora and fauna, the role and importance of specially protected natural areas in nature conservation.  During the educational event the students learned about the history of the first Russian State Reserve - Barguzin, about the process of development of the nature protection on the territory of Tatarstan. Maria Unkovskaja, the employee of the Department of Environmental Education, told the pupils of the 1st class about peculiarities of biological and landscape diversity, scientific and ecological-educational activity of Volga-Kama reserve. "Specially protected natural areas play a crucial role in the conservation and restoration of wildlife resources. They are the most effective mechanism of preservation of natural biodiversity of our planet ", - noted the specialist from the Ministry of RT Elena Gilmizjanova.
