Members of the Ministry’s team who participated in sports contests in the framework of the Spartakiade of State Officials of the Republic of Tatarstan were awarded today at the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. The Minister for Ecology Artem Sidorov delivered Letters of gratitude and valuable prizes.He expressed his gratitude to the team for active participation and wished further success.The contests were carried out in the context of 9 sports, wherein teams of 30 ministries and authorities took part. Following the results of the team classification, the Ministry’s team was rated the sixth in the Spartakiade of State Officials 2014 having gained 268 points.

An ecological and education campaign “Lesson of Cleanliness” was held today at secondary educational establishments of the Republic of Tatarstan. Fellow workers of nature protection authorities, federal and republican executive authoritiestaught the class as lecturers.
Experts of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan told the pupils about the plans of the Ministry for the next year that is declared to be the Year of Parks and Garden Squares at the School of Young Ecological Specialist at the premises of the Municipal Budgetary Educational Establishment “Vocational School No. 5” of Kazan. Fellow workers of the State Historical, Architectural and Art Reserve Museum “Kazan Kremlin” andscientific project group “Piligrim” arranged demonstration of geological showpieces– a collection ofthe extinct subclass of cephalopod, i.e.ammonites.

Participants of the expedition carried out by the branch of the Russian Geographical Society in the Republic of Tatarstan “Antarctic-100” returned today from the Antarctic to Kazan.The Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Artem Sidorov welcomed them at the railway station.On behalf of the government of the Republic, he congratulated the scientific team on the world victory, expressed his gratitudefor close cooperationand wished further achievements. Today, it’s the birthday of the Head of Nature Protection Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Albert Anatolyevich Shubin. The work on equipment of gas fuel stationswith the systems for collection and recuperation of fuel vaporsgoes on in Tatarstan. Experts of the Cis-Kama Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstanfamiliarized with operation of the closed system of discharge of oil products at the gas filling station of “Kuzkay” LLC located at the intersection of Mashinostroiteley str. and Avtozavodsky ave in Naberezhnye Chelny. The system implies collection of fuel vaporsfrom reservoirs andfuel-dispensing units into road-tankers for further removal of vapors and their recuperation at oil delivery terminals.All in all, 34 out of 72 gas fuel stations in Naberezhnye Chelny are equipped with such systems.

The solemn ceremony of awarding of winners of “Ecoleader” and “Man and Nature” contests was held today in Kazan at the shopping center “Korston”. The contests are aimed at attraction of public attention to the problems of ecological safety, encouragement of companies’ nature protection activity, as well as activation of work of Republican mass media, and improvement of professional skills of journalists involved in the coverage of ecological topics.Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov participated in the event. In his welcoming speech he acknowledged that the amount of peoplewho understand and become aware of the necessity to preserve ecology of Tatarstan grows year after year. The briefing with participation of the Deputy Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Chief State Inspector for Nature Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan Ramil Nizamov was held today at the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. He informed that for the purposes of more operative detection of the sitesof unauthorized quarry development, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan used several e-services – reception of public appeals via e-mail and mobile communication devices ensuring feedback of the population. Starting from December18, 2014 citizens can send messages informing on the places of unauthorized quarry development at 267-68-67oreco.signal@tatar.ru. It is necessary to register make and plate number of equipment used at the quarry, precise work area with reference to specific orienting points, time and date of registration, and contact information.Anonymity is guaranteed.
