The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan announces the start of the republican contest “ECOleader”. The most eco-friendly enterprises and educational institutions are invited to participate – whose task is to teach how to take care of nature, public figures who are not indifferent to environmental problems and, of course, journalists who during the year became real assistants to inspectors of the Ministry of Ecology of Tatarstan.

Today in the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan a videoconference was held. It was attended by Deputy Minister of Ecology of Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan - Chief State Inspector of the Republic of Tatarstan in the field of environmental protection Fayaz Shakirov and acting Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Emir Bedertdinov.

Knowledge of the natural resources of the country, minerals and their deposits can be useful to residents of Tatarstan on November 26. On this day, in all regions of Russia and abroad a third geographical dictation, organized by the Russian Geographical Society, will be held.

Young people of Tatarstan aged 18 to 27 can take part in the All-Russian competition of youth short films "Youth is responsible for the future of the planet", dedicated to the Year of Ecology in Russia. The organizer is Synergy University with the assistance of Perkon Productions, the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

Applications are accepted for participation in the international children's and youth contest “Our Oceans in a Changing Climate”. Participants can become children and young people aged 11 to 18 years.

The IV International Geological Forum “Geological Exploration 2017” will be held on October 25, 2017 in Moscow. The event will be attended by representatives of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of Russia, the Ministry of Energy of Russia, the Federal Agency for Subsoil Use, the State Commission on Mineral Reserves, heads of exploration and service enterprises, and top management of extractive companies.

Paper, glass, and plastic. In Nizhnekamsk, recycling points were organized. Containers for separate garbage collection were installed in two residential areas of the city. “Such designated look better, and the containers are convenient and easy to use,” the innovation of Nizhnekamsk was appreciated. As specialists from the Zakamsk Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan noted, the practice of sorting garbage will reduce environmental pollution and will teach townspeople to treat waste as a source of valuable recyclables.

The inspectors of the Volga-Kama territorial administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan joined the “Forest Week” environmental action. Within the framework of the republican event, ecologists together with the residents of Chistopol brought the Chasovskoy forest in order. Together, they cleared the territory of solid household waste, fallen and dead trees. Inspectors of the Volga-Kama Department noted that this cleanup provided an opportunity not only to improve the ecological state of our region, but also to strengthen the formation of the ecological culture of the population. “Such measures to clean the territory motivate the unindifferent inhabitants to preserve the natural resources of their native land. After cleanups, people of Chistopol, and especially the young people, begin to look at nature with different eyes.

Within the framework of the Year of Ecology, the second all-Russian contest “Climate and Responsibility-2017” was announced, which participants can become subjects, municipalities and organizations of Russia. It is conducted with the aim of drawing attention to the problem of climate change, identifying and disseminating best practices in reducing greenhouse gas emissions, demonstrating the corporate culture and achievements in this area.
