Landfill gas utilization project at solid municipal waste landfills, measures to improve the Stepnoi Zai River and the lake of Almetyevsk town were discussed today at the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Experts of the Prikamskiy Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan told pupils of the Gymnasium No. 76 of Naberezhnye Chelny about the importance of eco-analytical control in the system of environmental quality assessment. A tour was organized in order to familiarize pupils with the process of sampling and analysis of water, air and soil in a specialized inspection of analytical control.

Today the project “Month of ecological knowledge!” has started in Tatarstan. The event is organized by the Youth Ecological Movement “Will Be Clean”. The significance of the project is due to a number of issues relevant to the state of environment of the republic.

Ecological activities help schoolchildren become best friends of nature, direct their knowledge and energy to caring for animals and plants. In this regard, an environmental lesson was held at school No. 7 in Nizhnekamsk. In the framework of the lesson, environmentalists discussed with children the topics of water and energy conservation, separate collection of waste, watched a video about equilibrium in nature, made a poster on environmental topic. The pupils also took part in the intellectual thematic game, guessed environmental riddles.

Non-governmental environmental fund named after V.I. Vernadsky, “Greenlight” International Environmental Non-Governmental Organization and “GREENLIFE” Interregional Environmental Non-Governmental Organization, in order to identify projects and ideas of practical application in formation and development of ecological culture of population of the Russian Federation, implements and accepts applications for participation in the International Project “Ecological Culture. Peace and harmony”.

More than 4 thousand children of the Almetyevskiy took part in campaigns for feeding birds in the cold season. The children under the guidance of teachers, environmentalists and parents make winter canteens for birds, learn the habits of birds-friends.

The Republican seminar "Ecological bridge: problems and forms of implementation" was held in kindergarten "Teremok" of Buinsk town. The seminar was attended by educators of preschool institutions of the Zavolzhskaya zone of the republic, representatives of the Zavolzhskiy Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Youth Ecological Movement “Will be Clean” and the Information and Methodological Center of “Eco-School/Green Flag” International Program.

The seminar was aimed at the exchange of experience between employees of educational institutions and was primarily of a practical nature.

Since January 1, 2019, the provisions of the Federal Law “On Production and Consumption Wastes” No. 89-FZ have abolished the division of users of natural resources into small, medium and large-scale business entities. At the same time, the requirement for reporting on formation, recycling, neutralization and disposal of waste (Reporting of SMEs) by SMEs subjects has also become invalid. Since January 2019, they have been exempted from development of regulatory documentation and the need for reporting. Also, since 2019, no scheduled inspections have been carried out for objects of category IV.

Today a Meeting of the Scientific and Technical Council under the chairmanship of the Minister Aleksandr Shadrikov was held in the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. On the agenda is the issue of reclamation of sludge maps in the city of Kazan. In addition, the issues of neutralization of animal waste were discussed during the meeting of the Scientific and Technical Council.

A pit filled with petroleum products was found near Kulsharipovo village of Almetyevskiy district. The survey of the polluted area was conducted by inspectors of the South-Eastern Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan jointly with the Tatar Environmental Inter-District Prosecutor's Office. In order to take measures of the prosecutor’s response, all case materials were sent to the Tatar Environmental Inter-District Prosecutor’s Office.
