In the framework of the sanitary-ecological bimonthly period, experts of the Prikamskiy Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan, together with the staff of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of Elabuzhskiy district, revealed violations of land legislation. On the Moscow-Ufa highway, unauthorized disposal of production and consumption wastes in the form of unpolluted polyethylene was established, on the total area of ​​95 square meters and the fact of wastewater discharge without treatment on the terrain was revealed. To date, the culprit is eliminating the landfill.

Within the framework of “EcoSpring-2019”, students of the Nizhnekamsk College of KIU, armed with brush cutters and shovels, carried out sanitary cleaning of the territory: removed fallen trees, cleared the trails from debris. Work was also done on gardening - trees and shrubs were planted, and flowerbeds were renewed. Together with the students, employees of the Zakamskiy Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan took an active part in the cleanup.

Start to the 21st International Scientific and Industrial Forum “Great Rivers” was given today in Nizhny Novgorod. The exhibition and congress site gathered experts in the field of ecology, energy and hydrological safety, environmental education. The leading topic of the 21st Forum will be “Sustainable development of regions in the basins of great rivers”. Experts discuss the implementation of the federal priority project “Improvement of the Volga”.

The most active representatives of youth eco-associations and student community, experts of the Republic of Tatarstan in the field of environmental issues will gather at the IV Forum of Youth Environmental Organizations “ECOvolna”. It will be held from May 31 to June 1 on the basis of the health and educational complex “Baitik”. Leaders, specialists, curators, members of public organizations and associations aged from 14 to 30 years old, conducting their activities in the field of environmental education and the organization of environmental protection measures are invited to participate in the forum.

Ecological rafting on Sviyaga was held last weekend by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan jointly with the regional branch of the Russian Geographical Society in the Republic of Tatarstan. The length of the route was about 40 km, and the duration - three days. Rafting started in Malye Kokuzy village of Apastovskiy district, and finished in Burunduki village of Kaibitskiy district. Fourteen people took part in it - activists of the Russian Geographical Society and students with parents, as well as undergraduates from India and Algeria.

Today, within the framework of the received appeal of citizens about the spill of petroleum products in Kirovskiy district of Kazan, inspectors of the Central Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan carried out a field visit. It has been established that more than 150 square meters of soil is contaminated. Samples of pollutant and soil were selected for general chemical analysis and assignment of hazard class.

As part of the sanitary-ecological bimonthly period, the festival “EcoModa2019” took place in Buinsk town. The central park of the city turned into a podium for the display of unique costumes. More than 100 people took part in the display of garments made of waste material.
