On 15-16 of March 2018 Saint Petersburg will host the XXth International Ecological Congress "Atmosphere – 2018". The representatives of Federal Executive authorities, including the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, the Federal Service for supervision of natural resources, Federal service for Hydrometeorology and environmental monitoring, Federal Service for supervision of consumer rights protection and human welfare, the executive bodies of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation in the field of environmental protection, environmental services of large industrial companies, leading research organizations will take part in this event.

Construction wastes, ferrous metal scrap, wood products, waste paper, including documents and accounting records. The unauthorized dump of area 136,5 sq.m. was discovered on the territory of Pismyanskiy rural settlement of the Leninogorsk district.  After the study of wastes' morphology the inspectors from the South Eastern territorial department of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan brought the arranger of the unauthorized dump to clean water. 

The All Russia youth scientific-practical conference "Geosciences: problems, achievements and prospects of development" will be held on 27-28 of April 2018 in the North-Eastern Federal University named after M. K. Ammosov. The students, undergraduates, graduate students and young scientists will participate in the event.

New wastewater plant will be built this year in the Podgorny village of theBugulma Region. The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan and the administrtaion of the Bugulma municipal region signed the agreement on construction of these facilities.

The company of Chelny was left without work for 2 months.  The activity was suspended for the air pollution. Experts of the Kama territorial department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan recorded the excess of emissions of harmful substances for  carbon dioxide and methane. The inspectors brought the organization to the administrative responsibility according to Part 1 of Article 8.21 of the Administrative Code and Article 8.1 of the Administrative Code. 

The Leninogorsk company "MC "Alabuga-2.Petrochemistry" was obliged to install the storm drain and remove the fence. for violation of environmental legislation. This decision was made by Leninogorsk municipal court. Earlier on the territory of the organization the inspectors of the South-Eastern territorial department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan noted the absence of stormwater and the presence of the fence, restricting the free access of citizens to the Kamyshla River. 

The IX International Forum "Ecology" will be held in Moscow on March 22-23, 2018. The event will be held with the support and participation of the RF Federation Council, the State Duma of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Communal Services of the Russian Federation, the Federal Service for supervision in the field and other specialized ministries and departments. 

The application for the national award in the field of ecology and geography “Crystal Compass” was launched. Nominees can be citizens of the Russian Federation and other countries, creative unions, domestic and foreign organizations and enterprises that have implemented projects in the field of geography and ecology, preservation and promotion of natural and historical and cultural heritage in 2017.

The city children's ecological and biological center of Kazan and the Republican Olympiad Center invite pupils of grades 1-11 to participate in the republican open socio-ecological contest "Let's preserve the nature of Tatarstan". It is aimed at the formation of ecological thinking and culture among the younger generation, the development of schoolchildren's interest in the preservation and enhancement of the natural wealth of Tatarstan.

Applications are accepted for participation in a photo contest “Trees - monuments of wildlife”, participants of which can be residents of the Russian Federation above the age of 18.
For participation it is necessary to register on the website: http://rosdrevo.ru/request/photo-contest/ and send a photo before August 1, 2018. The contest accepts color and monochrome photographs (including black and white), the subject of which are trees recognized by the Certification Commission of the Program as nature monuments (a list of such trees can be found at: http://rosdrevo.ru/derevya-pamyatniki-zhivoy- prirody-spisok).
