Today, the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Coca-Cola System in Russia signed an agreement on development of a culture of separate accumulation and collection of municipal solid waste, according to the official website of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan. The document was signed by the Head of the republic, Rustam Minnikhanov, and the CEO of Coca-Cola HBC Russia, Aleksandar Ruzhevich.

The document suggests that Kazan will be the first city in Russia to use the Zero Waste City concept as part of Coca-Cola's “World without Waste” global strategy.

A landfill with an area of ​​850 square meters was found by inspectors of the South-Eastern Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, together with employees of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Leninogorskiy district. An administrative case has been initiated under part 3 of article 8.2 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation.

A fine - for failure to comply with the instructions of the inspectors. The Justice Court of Yutazinskiy district issued a decision in respect of the Urussinskiy enterprise, which did not take measures to eliminate environmental violations in a timely manner.

Re-inspection showed that the order was not fulfilled, for which an administrative protocol was drawn up for the enterprise in accordance with Part 1 of Article 19.5 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation. By the end of the year, violations must be eliminated.

A seminar on topic “On Procedure for providing, on a competitive basis, subsidies from the budget of the Republic of Tatarstan to Socially-oriented Non-profit Organizations in the field of ensuring environmental safety” was held today at the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan. Within its framework, Tatyana Leontyeva, Chairman of the Commission of the Public Chamber of the Republic of Tatarstan for Social Policy and Charitable Activities, and Olga Artemyeva, Head of the Department of Environmental Education and Interaction with Public Organizations of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan, told the representatives of public organizations how to submit and fill out an application, describe the project, and introduced the list of documents required to participate in the Competition.

Students from abroad visited the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan on the first day of the WorldSkills Championship. Students from Germany and China plunged into the working days of Tatarstan ecologists.

From August 19 to September 2, the second international summer school of the German-Russian Institute of New Technologies “Smart Cities” of Russia: a look into the future! is held in Kazan. This year, Russian students - students of KNITU-KAI, KFU and KSPEU, also became part of the project. One of the key tasks of the school is to obtain theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of ecology and protection of urban environment.

An eco-lesson at the “Source of Hope” children's rehabilitation center in Arsk was conducted by specialists of the Northern Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan together with activists of the republican youth movement “Will be clean”.

Pupils of the center were introduced to the principles of separate garbage collection, and breaking into teams, they consolidated the knowledge gained in a game form and created environmental advertising.

An eco-lesson for children having a rest in the “Balkysh” recreation camp of Tukayevskiy district was conducted by specialists of the Prikamskiy Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan and representatives of the Education Department of the district. Environmentalists introduced the children to the eco-attractions of their native land, spoke about the Borovetsky Klyuch nature monument, the Kama River, the Lower Kama National Park, and picturesque places located along its banks.

The conversation with residents was held in the form of a video conference. Issues of the operation of treatment facilities in Chistopolskiy district and air quality in the region were considered.

The contract for rehabilitation of the territory of non-project storage facilities of Chistopol Watch Factory CJSC was concluded by the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom and the Federal State Unitary Enterprise RosRAO. Its value amounted to 32,508,508 rubles.

It is planned to carry out the extraction of radioactive waste from non-project storage facilities located on the territory of the plant and the Kubasskiy forest.
