The first stage of the campaign for collection of waste batteries was completed in the schools of the Leninigorskiy district. For two months, pupils collected used current sources in special packages provided by Durasel Russia. During the event, almost 750 kg of batteries were collected.

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation and the Roscongress Foundation are inviting to participate in the competition “TOP 10 innovative companies in the field of ecology”, the press service of the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources reports. Applications for participation in the competition “TOP-10 innovative companies in the field of ecology” are accepted until December 30, 2019. The results will be summed up in February 2020 at the Russian Investment Forum in Sochi, where the finalists will present their decisions at a pitch session as part of the Innovation Territory project.

An environmental lesson was held at Nizhnemaktaminsk school No. 2 of the Almetyevskiy district, pupils examined issues and problems of human interaction with the environment.

City Children's Ecological and Biological Center in Kazan, together with Republican Olympiad Center of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan will hold the VI Republican environmental festival-competition of stage performance of schoolchildren in March 2020. The age of the participants in the competition program is defined in the range from 6 to 18 years. This year a large-scale renewal of treatment facilities continued in Almetyevsk. Construction and installation work of the 3rd stage of reconstruction was carried out: construction of two additional secondary sedimentation tanks, installation of technological equipment, installation of a new centrifugal turbine blower in the building of the blower station, etc. The upgrade of treatment facilities is planned to be completed in 2020.

In order to develop the existing Territorial monitoring system for atmospheric air, Tatarstan ecologists continue to study the best practices of Russian and foreign countries. Today the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan held a meeting with representatives of the TION Group of Companies. During the meeting, Aleksandr Shadrikov emphasized that one of the largest monitoring networks operated, and summary calculations of air pollution were applied in the Republic of Tatarstan.

“Kind Heart” campaign to collect things and toys for low-income families has started in Naberezhnye Chelny. The charity event is held on the initiative of the environmental movement “Garbage. No. More. Naberezhnye Chelny” as part of the environmental project “Eco Assets” with support of the Prikamskiy Territorial Administration of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Department of Education and Youth Affairs of the Executive Committee of Naberezhnye Chelny.

Environmental lesson on topic: “Separate garbage collection” was conducted for students of the Kazan Cadet School - Boarding named after B.K. Kuznetsov. At the lecture, activists of the “Will Be Clean” environmental youth movement and specialists from the Central Territorial Administration spoke about the importance of separate waste collection.

Today, a working meeting of the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Aleksandr Shadrikov and the Mayor of the city Aydar Metshin with a member of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation Federal Assembly Gennady Emelyanov was held at the Nizhnekamsk City Hall. The grand opening of the “Bird Canteen” took place in Beryozka kindergarten of Tetyushi. The children, together with their parents, made canteens for the birds. Now every day, going for a walk, the pupils hurry to pour food for birds in the dining room.
