Legal entities and individual entrepreneurs working at environmental impact sites of categories I, II and III that fall under regional state environmental supervision are required to submit an annual Report on the organization and results of industrial environmental control (IEC).

In 2024, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan recorded an almost twofold decrease in the number of registered objects that have a negative impact on the environment. In 2023, 448 new facilities were registered in Tatarstan, and in 2024 their number decreased to 287.
