To expand ECO knowledge and landscape school territory. For this purpose, the students of the Bolsheimeminsk school of the Verkhneuslon district within the framework of the Year of Ecology implemented the project “Agro-ecological zone”. Together with teachers and parents, the children created areas for conducting research on ecology. The students told Elena Gilmizyanova, the leading specialist of the department of environmental education and interaction with public organizations of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, about experiments conducted on this site. During the school year, schoolchildren studied the influence of the sun, wind and water on growth and development of plants, which ecological fertilizers are better for growing vegetables, and what conditions are necessary for the growth of trees and shrubs from seeds. The schoolchildren consider the most successful experiment in growing seedlings in the room conditions, which the students planted on new alleys on the school territory. Visiting the site, Elena Gilmizyanova noted that this project plays an important role in environmental education. Thanks to the activity in the open air laboratory, the children can better consolidate their theoretical knowledge in biology and ecology, develop practical activities on growing plants, and also get involved in experimental and research work.
