Farid Abdulganiev: “Hospitable host always has clean house.” Who won in general cleaning in Tatarstan? Results of sanitary-ecological two-month campaign announced today

1,127,000 participants in environmental protection actions and almost as many trees planted. During the sanitary-ecological two-month campaign, which took place in Tatarstan from April 1 to May 31, 1,746 unauthorized dumps were identified, 93.5% (1632 dumps) eliminated. The results were announced today by the Minister of Ecology of the Republic on a meeting in the Cabinet of Ministers, which was held by the President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. “The number of landfills has decreased, while the percentage of liquidation has increased,” Farid Abdulganiev, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of RT, said. “Tatarstan is one of the most developed regions of Russia and its activities in the field of ecology are highly appreciated at the federal level. Evidence of this is that the republic today is able to host large-scale events of international and all-Russian level. Just recently, an expanded board of the RosPrirodNadzor Administration was held in Tatarstan. And few days later our republic again sees the heads of environmental agencies from all over Russia. The Federal Ecological Council will be held in Kazan. A hospitable host always has a clean house. During the two-month campaign the emphasis was on eliminating landfills in a short time,” the Minister of Ecology stressed.
The executive committees of most districts reacted promptly to the violations revealed, and timely eliminated them. Farid Abdulganiev particularly mentioned districts with 100% landfill elimination (Aktanysh, Alekseevsk, Alkeyevo, Almetyevo, Apastov, Arsk, Atninsk, Bavly, Baltasin, Drozhzhanov, Elabuga, Zainsk, Kaibitsy, Kamsko-Ustinsky, Kukmor, Mamadysh, Mendeleev, Muslyumov, Nizhnekamsk, Novosheshmin, Nurlatsk, Sabinsk, Sarmanov, Spassk, Tukayev, Tyulyachin, Yutazin).
President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov awarded the most active and fast. The winners of the competition “The best municipal formation” this year are: the city of Kazan, Nizhnekamsk, Elabuga and Almetyevsk municipalities of the Republic of Tatarstan.
