Today is the Day of the Sun

On May 3, the whole world celebrates the Day of the Sun. The festive date was established by the International Society of Solar Energy in 1994. The main goal of the holiday is to concentrate the efforts of intellectuals of the whole planet on the development of ways of wide use of renewable energy sources, presented to us by nature. The percentage of current consumption by mankind of the enormous energy of the Sun, sea waves, wind, regular tides and outflows is impermissiblely low.
Feast of the Sun is an occasion to organize a discussion of the various projects of the use of solar energy, inexhaustible by the standards of humanity, strengthen the propaganda of the developed technologies. Races of the first “solar” cars are already carried out. On this day competitions are held for inventors of models using the Sun energy. Planetariums invite to learn more about the closest and known to us star, the guarantee of saving our life – the Sun.
