Gratitude letter for the assistance in holding the forum of active citizens “Community”, which was held in Kazan these days, was presented to the first deputy minister of ecology and natural resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustem Kamalov. He participated in the discussion “Ecology: the opportunities for intersectoral interaction between government, business, and NGOs to solve environmental problems”. The forums “Community” are held to identify the state of development of the non-profit sector in the regions of the Russian Federation, discuss existing problems and possible solutions to them, and support the most effective practices of civic engagement.
The moderator of the discussion was Alina Kolovska, the head of the ecological and educational platform “Center for Resource Saving”. She noted the keen interest of the participants in the event to issues of care for nature and ensuring environmental safety. Rustem Kamalov, who participated in the forum as an expert, thanked the organizers and emphasized the need for such venues to discuss problems.
