“459 violations found, 288 reports compiled”. Farid Abdulganiev announced first results of sanitary-ecological two-month period

“For the first week of a two-month period, all supervisory authorities in the republic recorded 459 violations, 288 reports were drawn up. 210 places of unauthorized waste disposal were identified, and 92 were liquidated. On April 3, the first inspection flight took place, during which the territory of industrial enterprises, capital construction objects, adjacent territories of Kazan and 5 municipal districts of the republic (Laishevsky, Zelenodolsky, Vysokogorsky, Rybno-Slobodsky, Pestrechinsky) were inspected. 38 facts of violations of environmental legislation in the field of waste management of production and consumption were revealed”, – Farid Abdulganiev, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources, announced today in the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan. The videoconference with all municipal regions was held by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. The control over the sanitary condition of the city of Kazan, the venue of the FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 and the FIFA 2018 World Cup in Russia will be strengthened, Abdulganiev said. He recalled that information on violations found by citizens of the Republic comes to the Republican public environmental reception through all communication channels, such as the Internet, e-mail, hotline, People’s Control, School Ecopatrol, WhatsApp, and Telegram. In the first days 118 applications were received in the public reception room. Hotline phones for receiving citizens’ appeals are organized in all territorial departments of the Ministry.

“Within the framework of the sanitary-ecological two-month period it is necessary to put in order the territories of the districts, enterprises and organizations, construction sites,” – President Rustam Minnikhanov instructed. In the opinion of Rustam Minnikhanov, it is also important to attach the territories behind enterprises and organizations, “so that to prevent such thing that after the clean-up nobody looks after these territories”.

Rustam Minnikhanov instructed to continue flights of municipal areas to identify places of unauthorized waste disposal.
