Man madedamage to Kama by changing bottom and bank. Offender to be prosecuted on two counts.

In the village Atabaevo ofLaishevodistrict, a person illegally changed the bottom and shore waters of the Kama River, thus causing damage to nature. This fact was revealed today during the state environmental monitoring conducted by the inspectors of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. It was seen heavymachineryworkingon the river bank. Inspector of the Ministry of Ecology recorded the violation of Article 7.6 of the Administrative Code “Unauthorized occupation of a water body” and Article 7.3 of the Administrative Code “Unlicensed subsoil use” for the removal of common mineral resources: sand and clay. Anadministrative case has beeninitiated. All materials will be transferred to the Kazan interdistrict environmental prosecutor’s office.
