Today, the Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Farid Abdulganiev, visited the Children's Ecological Center in St. Petersburg. It is the state-of-art space for children and adolescents where they learn about the surrounding world. Educational seminars and practical lessons on nature protection are carried out here all year round. The Children's Ecological Center has been distinguished with multiple awards as an interactive ecological project that offers amusing educational games and classes in the context of school lessons. The lessons at the Center awake interest in their participants to study and learn more about ecology. "It is interesting that not only do children obtain here certain knowledge and skills regarding environment protection, but they also learn to analyze their actions and understand what influence they make on the environment, as well as to make correct decisions. The Center doesn't only urge the children to protect nature, but it is also an invaluable resource for parents and teachers", acknowledged Farid Abdulganiev, Minister for Ecology of Tatarstan.
The classes at the Center give knowledge about ecology, teach how to make experiments and use the obtained knowledge. Such classes develop children, organize them, teach them how to think, how to work in a team, how to share information and the achieved results. This develops their potential that will help young researchers become ecological specialists, scientists and leaders in any field in the future.
