"Dug out": not the truth, but the criminal liability 10 years of imprisonment - for grand theft of sand.

Mineral resources of Aviastroitelny district of Kazan attracted "black diggers". The offenders extracted sand illegally during night time at a solitary site near the Borisoglebskoe cemetery. State inspectors of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan revealed illegal quarry during the night raid. Specalists of the Central Territorial Department and the State Inspection for Ecological Surveillance together with fellow workers of the Police Department of Aviastroitelny districtcaught an excavator HYUNDAI and a KAMAZ truck. Violationof part 1 Article 7.3 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation - Use of mineral resources without a license - envisages a fine up to 1 million rubles. Moreover, the specialists of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources estimated the preliminary damage inflicted on the environment. The amount made up 2.8 million rubles. The administrative case was referred to the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for Aviastroitelny district to initiate the criminal case under Article 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

At present, the work is carried out on identification of persons involved in this violation of the nature protection legislation.
