The campaign for cleaning of the coastal area of the Omshanka River was held in Nizhnekamsk. Experts of the Trans-Kama Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan participated in the event together with representatives of the administration and public utility services of Nizhnekamsk. More than 20 cubic meters of waste were collected. "In general, we are satisfied with the results of the campaign. And it is not the extent of the cleaned coastline that matters. We believe it is not the main aim of the campaign. It is more important to make people see that they shouldn't treat nature as thoughtlessly as they do. It is important to show that our rivers can be beautiful and clean. Maybe people will see how clean it is here, and maybe it will stop them from leaving bottles, glasses and food packages behind", acknowledged participants of the campaign.
