May 12th - the Day of Ecological Education

The Day of Ecological Education established in 1991 is celebrated today in Russia. The main aim of the event is to develop ecological culture of the population. Various ecological campaigns both of educational and practical nature are held on this day: exhibitions, conferences and contests are held along with nature protection campaigns aimed at cleaning of parks and landscaping of territories

                In the framework of the International Day of Ecological Education, a tree planting campaign will be held on May 12, 2016 at noon at school No. 90 (12 Komarova str.) organized by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan together with the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan. The campaign is designed to advocate ecological knowledge and upbring the young generation, to enhance the level of ecology-related knowledge, to foster careful attitude in children to the nature of the motherland, to form ecology-oriented mindset, and to support the development of the system for continuous ecological education and enlightenment in the Republic of Tatarstan.
