A fine in the amount from 40 to 50 thousand rubles is to be imposed on offenders of the Water Code of the Russian Federation Ecological specialists registered illegal takeover of the coastal area of the water protection area of the Karla River

Violation of Article 6 of the Water Code of the Russian Federation ("Public water bodies") was registered by the experts of the Trans-Kama Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. In the course of the raid - inspection of the coastal area of the water protection zone of the Karla River near Mescheryakovo village of Buinsk Municipal District of Tatarstan - ecological specialists found out that a band of land along the coastal area of the public water body (the Karla River) was fenced off with a 67-m metal fence.

The fence belongs to a hotel complex Orchideya+ LLC located on the outskirts of the village on the right bank of the Karla River. The distance from the fence to the water line of the Karla River makes up 14 meters, while the distance from the fence to the water line near northern gates of Orchideya+ LLC makes up only 5 meters.

A protocol was drawn up at the end of the raid according to Article 8.12.1 ("Failure to comply with the obligation to provide citizens with free access to the public water body and its coastal area"). This article envisages imposition of a fine on officials in the amount from 40 to 50 thousand rubles.
