A total of 30 cubic meters of litter were collected by ecological specialists and representatives of the administration of Almetyevsk district from the coastline area of the lake - a favorite place for recreation of the citizens of Almetyevsk.

The water protection area of the lake located near Almetyevsk Water Reservoir was cleaned last weekend by fellow workers of the South-Eastern Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan together with representatives of the Executive Committee of Almetyevsk Municipal District.

"The lake - is a favorite place for recreation of local citizens, although a lot of litter is always left after them", acknowledged ecological specialists. Participants of the Saturday work campaign in the amount of 60 people commpletely cleaned the water protection area of the lake having "harvested" a lot of empty bottles, PE bags and other consumption waste. All in all, 30 m3 of waste were removed. Moreover, 3 units of machinery were engaged in the cleaning.

The event was held in the framework of the two-month sanitary and ecological campaign in order to bring the territory of the Republic into compliance with the requirements of ecological and sanitary & epidemiological safety of the population.
