A vivid, creative and educational holiday devoted to the Internationa Day of Mother Earth was held for the children from 4 to 7 years of age by the teachers of "Children Development Center under nursery No. 57 'Solovushka'" in Almetyevsk with participation of the experts of the South-Eastern Territorial Department under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Lesovichok (a wood goblin) was the main guest at the "Earth Day" celebration - he urged pre-schoolers to correct the mistakes made by a human being in the natural world and "registered" by animals and birds in the "book of complaints". Songs, dances, poems, round dances, games, staging, defiles - all that made the celebration colorful, interesting, joyful and unforgettable.

Owing to the "Earth Day", the little ones found out about the rules of behavior outdoors, about the importance of waste collection and the possibility of its secondary use to make crafts and creative costumes.

Ecological specialists expressed their gratitude to the children for their active participation in the holiday, and to the teachers - for their efforts and creative activity having awarded them with a Diploma for active participation in the ecological education of pre-schoolers.
