The VII International Forum “Ecology” will be held in St. Petersburg in March

The VII International Forum “Ecology” will be held in St. Petersburg on March 2-3, and it will be devoted to the complex of measures aimed at minimization of the man-induced impact on water resources, as well as ecological safety related to waste management. The key topics of the Forum will include state policy in the field of nature protection in the Russian Federation; enhancement in the potable water quality; minimization of damage related to utility wastewater disposal; implementation of efficient technologies in industry and housing & public utilities; ecological safety inthe oil and gas extraction sector; and the issues related to solid waste management.

Members of the Nature Resources Committee under the State Duma of the Russian Federation, as well as the leading industrial companies and enterprises – developers of the special-purpose equipment will participate in the event.

As the end of the Forum, the Resolution with suggestions and recommendations will be elaborated to be further referred to the state authoritiesto improve the legislation and state regulation in the field of protection of water resources and formation of the efficient waste management system in Russia.

The event is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation. The Russian Association of Water Supply and Sanitation is the partner of the Forum.
