TheprojectaimedatimprovementoftheenvironmentontheterritoryofRussiagoes through public debate in Moscow

Theproject “StrategiesofecologicalsafetyintheRussianFederationuntil 2025” goesthroughtheprocedureofpublicdebate.ThedocumentismindfuloftheprioritiesforthedevelopmentofnatureprotectionregulationsdefinedbytheMinistryofNaturalResourcesandEcologyoftheRussianFederationearlier in the “Basic state policy in the field of ecological development in the Russian Federation until 2030”, as it is reported by the Press Service of the MinistryofNaturalResourcesandEcologyoftheRussianFederation. The priorities in the field of environmental protection and assurance of ecological safety are taken care of in the framework of state programs “Environment protection”, “Forestry development”, and “Development of water utilization system of the Russian Federation”. Theprioritiesofthestatepolicyinthefieldofecologyincludereductionin the man-caused impact and maintenance of the favorable environmental state and human natural habitat. Implementation of the main provisions of the Strategy will lead to substantial improvement in the state of the environment on the territory of Russia. The document also evaluates the current state of ecological safety in the Russian Federation, defines challenges and threats, andelaborates tendencies and possible development scenariosin the field of assurance of ecological safety of the country.
