Thecontest “Schoolforecology: to think, to research, and to act!”

TheGoeteGermanCulturalCenterundertheGerman Embassy in Moscow with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federationin cooperation with theresearch and development institutes of Germany and Russia announced the All-Russian contest“Schoolforecology: to think, to research, and to act!. Teamsofpupilsofforms7 – 11, as well as their teachers of German andsubject teachers (biology, geography, chemistry, physics and ecology) can participate in the contest. ThepupilsshouldfeatureaprojectinGermanonresearchoftheecologicalsituationintheircity (village), on their street, or at school, for example: water and air quality, the state of soil, energy consumption, flora and fauna, wastes, health/nutrition.

Participationandpresentation of the project should comply with the following criteria:

  • Relevance and importance of the ecological problem for pupils and their home cities (villages), schools;
  • implementationofinterdisciplinaryrelationsandtheuseofmethodsofscientificresearchinbiology, geography, chemistry, physics and ecology;
  • participationintheprojectofagroupofpupilsof 3 andmorepersons, 1 teacher of German and 1 subject teacher;
  • practicalorientationandproductivity of the implemented project (holding of specific ecological events);
  • attractionofpublicattentionto the project results;
  • clarity, consistency, structuredness  of project description and its results;
  • availabilityofdocuments (forexample, photos,videomaterials, enquiries,andarticlesinlocalmassmedia and so on) that reflect http://eco.tatarstan.ru/js/FCKeditor/editor/images/spacer.gifthe stage of practical project implementation.

Pieces of work are accepted until November 1, 2015. The projects will be evaluated by experts of the leading research institutes of Germany and Russia.
