The holiday devoted to the Day of Volga will be held in Nikolskoe village

On May 20, 2015, the events devoted to the Day of Volga will be held in Nikolskoe village of Laishevo district of the Republic of Tatarstan. The holiday is carried out by the UNESCO department “Development of fundamental principles of the Earth Charter to create sustainable community” under the Institute for the Problems of Ecology and Subsurface Resources Management of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan with support of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan. In the framework of the Day of Volga, an open ecological “Academic lesson” will be held for pupils of Kazan and Laishevo by scientists of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan and Kazan Federal University. Practical training with pupils regarding methods for drawing and analysis of water samples, data on deposits and soils, as well as visiting of the museum of Russian Folklore “Caravon” are also planned.
