Ecological specialists detected discharge of waste watersinto Lake Kaban

The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan received an address from citizens of Kazan regarding discharge of polluted waste waters into Nizhny Kaban. Inspectors of the Central Territorial Department andexperts of the Central Specialized Inspection for Analytical Control under the Ministry of Ecologyvisited the scene together with representatives of Kazan Nature Protection Prosecutor’s Office, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Ministry for Civil Defense and Emergency Situations of the Republic of Tatarstan, and Kazan Executive Committeeto detect discharge of waste waters from Kazan storm drainage. Experts of the Central Specialized Inspection for Analytical Control under the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan drew samples of waste and natural waters, following the results whereof the damage inflicted on the water facility will be estimated. Inspectors of the Zakamsky Department of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan took part in oil spill response exercises
