Prime Minister of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov: “These contests make each one of us understand and be aware of how important it is to preserve rich and wonderful nature-given environment”

The solemn ceremony of awarding of winners of “Ecoleader” and “Man and Nature” contests was held today in Kazan at the shopping center “Korston”. The contests are aimed at attraction of public attention to the problems of ecological safety, encouragement of companies’ nature protection activity, as well as activation of work of Republican mass media, and improvement of professional skills of journalists involved in the coverage of ecological topics.Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov participated in the event. In his welcoming speech he acknowledged that the amount of peoplewho understand and become aware of the necessity to preserve ecology of Tatarstan grows year after year. The Prime Minister acknowledged campaigns and projects implementedin municipalities, in particular, “Green Record”. Ildar Khalikov specifically distinguished ecological projects of oil and petrochemical companies who do a lot more than it is envisaged by the requirements of the applicable legislation.“These contests make each citizen of the Republic of Tatarstan and each employee of any company understand and be aware of how important it is to preserve rich and wonderful nature-given environment”, acknowledged the Prime Minister of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov. The Minister for Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Artem Sidorov expressed his gratitude to the government of the Republicfor support in the process of solution of the problems regarding environment protection in the Republic of Tatarstan. The Minister acknowledged that ecological programs and projects developed and implemented in partnership with industrial companies are a success.
