1000 environmental events in six months: "It will be clean" summed up the results of the half-year at a meeting in the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan
Today, at a traditional meeting at the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Dilara Satikova, Chairman of the "It will be Clean" RMEOO, presented a report on the movement's activities for the first half of 2026.
According to her, during this period, more than 1,000 environmental events were held, in which preschoolers, schoolchildren, students, teachers and others participated. Currently, 49 environmental associations are operating in Tatarstan, which are members of the "It will be Clean", they operate in 31 municipal districts.
"Reserved Tatarstan" educational intensive, which is being implemented this year thanks to a grant from the Presidential Nature Fund of the Russian Federation, the "Yashel Belem" republican educational campaign (47 teams from 23 cities and districts, 189 events for more than 4,000 participants), the "EQUEST" competition are among the key events of the half—year (70 teams from 36 districts, the participants organized 700 events for 23,000 people). The republican "Ecovolna" forum of youth environmental organizations, which brought together 140 activists from 23 districts, and the "About Ecology to Each Other" social project competition were also held, as a result of which four initiatives in the field of inclusive volunteerism, mentoring, eco-festivals and monitoring of territories received grants.
The "My Ecoleto" marathon started in the summer with 11 holidays and 5 yard camps in 11 districts and Kazan, the "Academy of Green Professions" profile shift for 47 participants took place, as well as a series of trips to the reserves "Stepnoy", "Kichke-Tan", "Chistye Luga" and the natural territories of Verkhneuslonsky and Kamsko.- Ustinsky districts. "Family Eco" festivals in Kazan, "Clean Heritage" Olympiad for grades 5-9 (together with Tatneft), a job fair in the protected area, a contest of scientific papers "Green Code of Tatarstan" and much more are in the near future. The year will end with a gathering of activists and the final festival with the awarding of the winners of the youth environmental prize.
A project is also underway to equip educational trails, information stands, gazebos, sensory kindergarten and recreation areas in the Children's Botanical Garden of the Kazan City Ecological and Biological Center with the support of the Presidential Nature Foundation.
At the end of the report, Minister of Ecology Azat Ziganshin noted that the movement already covers 31 districts, and set the task to expand its geography and involve new participants: "It is important to maximize the knowledge and experience of the youth organization. We can expand the geography and attract more children to environmental activities." The head of the department added that "It will be Clean" remains one of the ministry's key partners in environmental and educational projects.
For reference: the movement has been operating since 2015, received legal status in 2017, and was renamed the RMEOO in 2025.
