We will talk about digitalization in the field of ecology and conservation of biodiversity at the All-Russian Conference named after A. I. Shchepovskikh.
"Industrial Ecology" and Safety" All-Russian conference named after A. I. Shchepovskikh" will be held on August 27 at the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Center as part of the Tatarstan Petrochemical Forum.
This year, the event will be held for the 21st time and will become a key platform for discussing topical issues of environmental safety, digitalization of surveillance activities and conservation of biodiversity.
The conference will begin with a plenary session on the topic "Digital transformation of environmental oversight". The participants will discuss the use of unmanned aircraft systems in the field of environmental protection, as well as tell how modern technologies are changing approaches to environmental control and increasing the effectiveness of supervision.
Presentations will be made by the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Azat Ziganshin, representatives of Rospotrebnadzor of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Volga-Kama Interregional Directorate of Rosprirodnadzor, the Executive Committee of Kazan, as well as the "Integral" company.
The conference program also includes three thematic round tables.
The round table "Local monitoring systems of industrial enterprises and integration with territorial observation systems" will be devoted to the practical experience of regions and industrial enterprises, issues of automatic control of emissions and discharges, monitoring of atmospheric air, integration of local and territorial observation systems, digitalization of environmental control and the use of modern technologies of ecomonitoring.
The organizers are the Association for the Development of Ecomonitoring and the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The round table "Subsoil use and environmental safety: a balance of interests in the development of deposits" will touch upon the organization of industrial environmental monitoring at oil production facilities, waste management of the mining industry, land and forest resources management.
The round table "Regional Red Books as a tool for preserving the biological diversity of territories" will focus on the dynamics of the number of rare animal species, the monitoring system for species listed in the Red Book of the Republic of Tatarstan, as well as the project to revive the Volga-Kama Saker Falcon population. The organizers are the Institute of Ecology and Subsoil Use Problems of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Two Agreements on cooperation on environmental issues will be signed during the conference.
More than a hundred specialists from all over Russia will take part. For those who will not be able to attend in person, a live broadcast will be organized.
The Shchepovskys Conference "Industrial Ecology and Safety" is a large—scale platform for dialogue between government, science, business and society on environmental protection and environmental safety issues. The event is held in support of the national project "Environmental well-being".
