More than 4 thousand cars were checked in Tatarstan as part of operation "Clean Air"
"Clean Air", an operational and preventive event, which started on June 1 in support of the national project "Environmental well-being", continues in the Republic of Tatarstan.
Inspections are carried out by inspectors from the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan together with the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan and the interregional territorial Directorate of Rostransnadzor for the Volga Federal District.
A total of 4,213 vehicles were checked: 3,811 passenger cars, 212 trucks and 190 buses.
The excess was detected in 86 vehicles, which is 2% of the total number of cars checked. These are 74 passenger cars, 7 trucks and 5 buses. Of these, 72 run on gasoline, 10 on diesel fuel, and 4 on gas.
Explanatory work is carried out with the owners of cars that have committed excess on the need to comply with the requirements of legislation in the field of atmospheric air protection. Protocols on administrative offenses are being drawn up.
The raids cover 22 municipalities: Verkhneuslonsky, Chistopolsky, Buinsky, Nizhnekamsk, Aznakaevsky, Arsky, Leninogorsk, Tukayevsky, Mendeleevsky, Yelabuga, Baltasinsky, Tyulyachinsky, Sabinsky, Cheremshansky, Bavlinsky, Almetyevsky, Kukmorsky, Yutazinsky, Apastovsky and Alekseevsky districts, as well as the cities of Naberezhnye Chelny and Kazan.
Inspections on the republic's highways will continue until September 30, 2026.
Recall that over the past five years, the share of vehicles exceeding emission standards has been decreasing — from 2.8% in 2021 to 2.6% in 2025. This is due to the improvement of the quality of motor fuel and the renewal of the fleet.
For reference: in 2025, environmentalists checked 6,497 vehicles, 168 exceedances were detected;
in 2024, 6,482 vehicles were checked, 168 vehicles were found to have exceedances;
in 2023, 6,886 vehicles were checked, 184 vehicles were not tested for environmental friendliness;
In 2022, 6,570 vehicles were checked, 183 violations were detected.;
In 2021, 6,201 vehicles were checked and 172 violations were detected.
