The Green Alley of Friendship between Russia and China was laid today in Kazan
On the final day of the International Forum "SPROUTS: Russia and China — mutually beneficial cooperation" a tree planting ceremony was held in front of the Unique Craftsmanship Center in Kazan. The participants laid out a new green alley, planting seedlings of Chinese plum, barberry and pine trees.
The honorary guests of the event were Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Azat Ziganshin, Head of the Investment Development Agency of the Republic of Tatarstan Taliya Minullina, Deputy Chairman of the Chinese part of the Russian-Chinese Chamber of Trade Sheng Guofei, Deputy Head of the Executive Committee of Kazan Ildar Shakirov, Head of the Center for Unique Excellence Ranko Tepavcevich.
In his welcoming speech, Azat Ziganshin noted that the "SPROUTS" forum has been bringing together representatives of Russia and China for the fourth year.:
"Today is another excellent proof of the unity of Russia and China — the opportunity to create, develop and multiply good together. Each of the trees planted carries a deep meaning: pine is a symbol of endurance and longevity, barberry is a symbol of the versatility and richness of our cultures. Over time, they will become the best witnesses of our solidarity and mutual respect. I am sure that today's symbolic action will mark the beginning of new joint projects and initiatives. I wish you all peace, kindness, health, prosperity and new victories for the prosperity of our peoples and our countries."
The Minister of Ecology also noted that the ceremony took place in the year of two significant anniversaries: the 30th anniversary of the establishment of strategic partnership relations between Russia and China and the 25th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty on Good Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation.
The importance of strengthening bilateral relations was emphasized by Sheng Guofei, Deputy Chairman of the Russian-Chinese Chamber for Trade Promotion.:
"For thirty years of partnership, relations between the two countries have been getting stronger and better. I hope we will continue to move in this direction in the future. We thank the Republic of Tatarstan: we will share all the knowledge we gained at the forum with our colleagues in China."
With the support of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, Tatarstan is becoming a platform for international cooperation, where ecology, economy and social well-being are developing in a single bundle, and special attention is paid to the implementation of the national project "Environmental well-being".
Let us remind you that the International Forum "SPROUTS: Russia and China — mutually beneficial cooperation" is aimed at strengthening trade, economic, scientific, technical, social and cultural ties between the regions of Russia and the provinces of China. Its goal is to create a space for direct dialogue between business, government and the scientific community in order to find practical solutions and launch joint projects. The Forum is taking place in Kazan from August 16 to 19 at the "Kazan Expo" International Exhibition Center. The event is attended by about 10,000 people and more than 200 companies.
