We remind subsoil users about the deadlines for license renewal

The Ministry of Ecology reminds subsoil users of the deadlines for granting subsoil plots for use and the procedure for license renewal.

Subsoil plots are granted for different periods, depending on the purpose of use:

• for geological exploration — for a period of up to 5 years;
• for mineral extraction — for the period of field development;
• for groundwater extraction — for a period of up to 25 years;
• for the construction and operation of underground facilities — without a time limit.

If a subsoil user needs to extend the validity of a license, an application must be submitted to the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan in advance — no later than 3 months before the current license expires.

Important: renewal is possible only if the subsoil user has not violated the terms of the license (Article 10 of the Law of the Russian Federation “On Subsoil”).
