Participant of the Batyrlar program. Heroes of Tatarstan", inspector of the Southeastern Department of the Ministry of Ecology of Tatarstan Igor Egorov conducted an environmental lesson for schoolchildren in Almetyevsk.

The meeting was held at Almetyevsk Engineering School No. 26. Igor Yakovlevich prepared a lesson for the children on caring for the environment and preserving Tatarstan's natural resources. For one hour, the school classroom became a place for a real expedition to the protected areas of the republic.    

Young conservationists learned with interest about the importance of water resources in the ecosystem of our planet and the need to take care of this invaluable gift of nature. During the lesson, the children got acquainted with the unique nature reserves of Russia and Tatarstan, as well as with rare species of animals living in the republic and listed in the Red Book of Tatarstan.

Igor Egorov is not just an inspector at the Ministry of Ecology, but also a participant in a special military operation who returned from the front line. Having exchanged his military uniform for an ecologist's tunic, he continues his mission to protect what is dear, this time the natural resources of his native republic.

"This year has been declared the Year of Military and Labor Valor in Tatarstan, and it is a great honor for me to show children by my example that you can be a hero not only on the battlefield, but also in daily care of nature. Protecting the Motherland and protecting its ecology are two sides of the same coin, and each of them requires courage, responsibility and love for their land," Igor Egorov said.

The meeting of the guys with Igor Yakovlevich became possible thanks to the Batyrlar program. Heroes of Tatarstan", which helps its veterans to find a worthy application of their skills and experience in peaceful life. Igor Egorov's mentor in this program is the Minister of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan, Azat Ziganshin.

Such events are regularly held as part of environmental education and familiarization of schoolchildren with the basics of rational use of natural resources, and also contribute to achieving the goals of the national project "Environmental well-being".
