24 March 2026, Tuesday

Inspectors from the Northern Department of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan, together with specialists from the Ashit State Nature Reserve of regional importance, conducted an environmental lesson at the Alan school in Tyulyachinsky district.

The lesson was dedicated to wildlife and its inhabitants, who need special protection. The children got acquainted with rare species of animals and plants listed in the Red Book of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan. The students learned that the Ashit Nature Reserve is home to such rare species of birds and animals as the hissing swan, big booze, curlew and others.

The main thing that was discussed in the lesson was what each of us can do to help preserve the Red Book species. Experts gave simple and understandable examples: do not destroy nests and do not touch chicks, even if it seems that they have been left without parents, do not collect rare plants, do not leave garbage in the forest and on the shores of reservoirs.

At the end of the lesson, the inspectors and staff answered the students' questions, and the students promised that they would now pay more attention to nature.
