Tatarstan's Minister of Ecology Azat Ziganshin presented a report on human well-being at the "There is a Result" party forum
Today, the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan, Azat Ziganshin, delivered a speech at the Regional Forum on the implementation of the People's Program of the UNITED RUSSIA party "There is a result". In his report "Human well-being", the head of the department summed up the results of many years of systematic work and spoke about how environmental protection activities affect the quality of life of every resident of the republic.
Azat Ziganshin stressed that the main thing behind the dry statistics figures — tons of emissions and kilometers of cleared riverbeds — is the health and comfort of specific families. Thanks to the support of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, a model of open dialogue between government, science and business has been built in the region. The result of this cooperation was the implementation of more than 1,300 events over 8 years, which improved the quality of life of 3.5 million Tatarstan citizens.
The report paid special attention to the legacy of the Ecology national project. The Minister noted that the reclamation of the Samosyrovsky landfill in Kazan and projects to improve the Volga River had a direct impact on the health of the environment. In addition, the republic is embarking on new tasks within the framework of the national project "Environmental well—being" - the clearing of the Melekeski River in Naberezhnye Chelny has already begun and work is being prepared on the Knox River in Kazan.
Azat Ziganshin called the involvement of the residents themselves a special pride. "Environmental well—being is a story about people," the minister said, citing the example of thousands of volunteer groups and the Yunate movement. A vivid symbol of the national program was the example of the Skuzlov family from Kazan, who performed 244 good environmental deeds. According to the head of the Ministry of Ecology, it is precisely such feedback and the trust of residents that prove that the joint work of the state and society really brings results.
