Environmentalists took part in the All-Russian exercises on preparation for floods
Specialists from the Ministry of Ecology took part in the All-Russian command and staff exercises to work out actions in the event of a threat of emergency situations. The exercises were held from March 11 to March 12, 2026 in accordance with the Plan of the main events of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Employees of the Central Territorial Administration and the Central Department for Environmental Supervision of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan, together with units of the unified state emergency response system, including the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, traffic Police, fire brigades, ambulances and Rosprirodnadzor, took part in the exercises.
The practical part of the exercises took place on the understudy of the third transport dam. According to legend, a kindergarten and residents of twenty houses were at risk of flooding. The operational services evacuated the conditionally injured, provided them with medical assistance, and also deployed specialized equipment and aircraft to carry out rescue operations.
The exercises were held normally, and all the tasks were completed. The main purpose of such events is to prepare services and departments for possible emergencies during the spring flood.
