Inspectors of the Northern Territorial Administration conducted an educational eco-lesson for pupils of the Sabinsky boarding school for children with disabilities (village of Kzyl-Mesha).
The main topic of the meeting was concern for the environment and the importance of proper waste management. Using simple examples, the environmental service staff explained to the children how our daily habits affect the planet. The guys were amazed by the numbers: if ordinary paper decomposes in just a couple of months, then the life span of a plastic bottle or tin can in the ground is hundreds of years.
During the conversation, the students, together with environmentalists, discussed the rules of behavior in the forest, the need to clean up after themselves, and ways to help animals.
They consolidated the theory with creativity: the children drew how they see helping nature. The drawings featured scenes of cleaning the territory and planting trees — simple and understandable good deeds for everyone.
The conclusion that the participants of the lesson made for themselves is extremely specific: the purity of nature depends on the responsibility of each person.
