The results of the Republican ecological contests were summarized in “Corston”

Today, the results of two republican contests “ECOleader” and “Man and Nature” were summarized. This year annual contests were devoted to the Year for Ecological Culture and Nature Protection in Tatarstan. The winners were awarded at the State TV and Radio Broadcasting Company “Corston” and included representatives of companies and enterprises in every field of industry, agro-industrial and housing and utility complexes, sole proprietors, self-governing authorities, public organizations and associations, educational and cultural establishments, institutions of social field and health care, representatives of mass media (including photojournalists), TV and radio companies, as well as online media operating on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Chairperson of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan Farid Mukhametshin was the honored guest of the event. He acknowledged that the Republic of Tatarstan is an industrial republic filled with tens of very serious from the ecological perspective facilities oriented towards future. “We managed to do a lot in order to preserve the comfort of the environment and improve it a little”, emphasized Farid Mukhametshin.
During his welcome speech, the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Artem Sidorov noted that the year 2013 was very important not only for ecological specialists, but also for every citizen of Russia. Various events were held regarding cleaning of territories, research and practice conferences of international scale, as well as the whole cycle of environment-oriented lessons given at all educational establishments of the Republic. He congratulated the audience and wished success and new victories.
Minister of Health Care of the Republic of Tatarstan Adel Vafin, Head of the Federal Press and Mass Communications Agency Irek Minnakhmetov, chairperson of the Public Chamber of the Republic of Tatarstan Anatoly Fomin, Commissioner for human rights in the Republic of Tatarstan Sariya Saburskaya, Chairperson of the Council of Municipal Establishments in the Republic of Tatarstan Minsagit Shakirov , as well as the Head of Administration of the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resource Usage for the Republic of Tatarstan Farit Khayrutdinov, Head of Administration of the Federal Veterinary and Phytosanitary Monitoring Service for the Republic of Tatarstan Nurislam Khabipov, Head of Administration of the Federal Service on Customers' Rights Protection and Human Well-being Surveillance for the Republic of Tatarstan, chief state sanitary physician for the Republic of Tatarstan Marina Patyashina participated in the solemn event as honored guests.
The following participants were the winners of the “ECOleader” contest:
“TAIF-NK” OAO was rated the first in the category “For efficient ecological management”, “Nizhnekamskneftekhim” OAO won in the category “For efficient ecological program”, and “TANEKO” OAO (Nizhnekamsk) won in the category “For implementation of technologies in the field of collection and processing of secondary resources, energy and resource-saving, as well as ecologically efficient technologies”. “Chelny-vodokanal” ZAO was rated the first in the category “For promotion of ecological safety in the field of housing and public utilities”.
“TATNEFT” OAO was declared an absolute leader in the Republican contest “ECOleader”. The company made a maximum contribution into solution of ecological matters in the Republic of Tatarstan.
Kazan Municipal establishment was declared the best in the category “For achievements in the field of nature protection on the territory of the city of republican subordination”, while Nizhnekamsk district of the Republic of Tatarstan won in the category “For achievements in the field of environment protection on the territory of municipal district”. Arsk was rated the first in the category “For achievements in the field of environment protection on the territory of urban settlement”.
Prevention and Treatment Facility of the Trade Unions of the Republic of Tatarstan, “Bakirovo” health resort was the best in the category “Ecology and health”.
National Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan was declared the best in the category “Ecology and culture”.
It is the second year that socially active citizens were awarded with a specific prize of the organizers for participation in the state information system “People’s control”.

According to good tradition, the Ministry of Ecology hosted a New Year's tree for the children of the department's employees.
Inspectors of the Central Department, together with representatives of the Kazan Interdistrict Environmental Prosecutor's Office and the Office of the Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography of the Republic of Tatarstan, conducted a survey of the territory of the Zelenodolsk district.
The events were held in the Zainsky district. The commission included inspectors from the Zakamsky Department of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan received an appeal from residents about violations of environmental legislation in the Yelabuga district. Inspectors from the Kama Department went to the site and confirmed the fact of dumping production and consumption waste into the territory of the Bug River water protection zone.
