On International Polar Bear Day, inspectors from the Kama Department visited school No. 13 in Naberezhnye Chelny and told about the life of the Arctic predator. During the lesson, the children immersed themselves in the world of icy expanses and learned interesting facts about the polar bear. For example, they are the largest terrestrial predators on the planet: an adult male can weigh up to a ton and grow up to three meters in length. And thanks to their thick layer of fat and thick fur, polar bears are well adapted to the extremely low temperatures of the Arctic. The inspectors explained that polar bears are listed in the Red Book of the Russian Federation, there are about 25 thousand of them left. Environmentalists told us what other Red Book animals live in Russia and Tatarstan and how important it is to protect and protect them. At the end of the eco-lesson, the inspectors presented the school with a copy of the Red Book of the Republic of Tatarstan. Now students can independently get acquainted with rare species of animals and plants in their region, as well as better understand the importance of protecting Tatarstan's nature.
