Acceptance of applications for the XIV International Crystal Compass Award has started

Apply for the National Crystal Compass Award by March 15, 2026. In 2026, statuettes will be awarded to the winner for the 14th time. This year, public organizations, scientific and educational institutions, enterprises, mass media, creative associations, initiative groups and public figures are invited to participate. Applications are accepted in 11 nominations: "Scientific achievement", "Enlightenment", "The best social and information project for the preservation of natural and historical and cultural heritage", "The best environmental project of industrial enterprises, business", "Journey and expedition", "The best media project, media project", "Publication", "Photo work", "Civic Position", "The best regional project" and "Public Recognition". Over the past thirteen years, the authors of almost 5,000 projects and unique achievements from 51 countries have been nominated for the Award. The special "Public Recognition" nomination is particularly popular, the winner of which is determined by open online voting: more than 3.2 million people have participated in it since the Award was held. The Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan actively participates in the "Crystal Compass". In 2024, the project to revive the Volga-Kama Saker Falcon population, which is being implemented in support of the national Environmental Well-being project, was highly appreciated by the expert commission. He was one of the three winners in the nomination "The best social and information project for the preservation of natural, historical and cultural heritage." The Free Current project also fought for victory in the popular vote.
