On Marine Mammal Protection Day, ecologists introduced schoolchildren to dolphins and whales

19 February 2026, Thursday

On Marine Mammal Protection Day, inspectors from the Kama Department visited School No. 13 in Naberezhnye Chelny. Environmentalists told the fourth graders about whales and dolphins and shared interesting facts about them.

The students learned that the blue whale is the largest representative of the animal world, dolphins are known for their intelligence and ability to help people in need, the killer whale is one of the fastest and most dangerous marine mammals, and white whales are able to perform real musical compositions.

The inspectors reminded the children that it is necessary to protect and help marine life, for example, not to throw garbage into reservoirs and go on clean-up days on the shores.

At the end of the eco-lesson, the children watched a video about the life of mammals underwater and promised to take care of nature.
