Yashel Belem: new eco-enlightenment campaign launches in Tatarstan
The "It will be Clean" movement, together with the Ministry of Ecology of Tatarstan, is launching a large-scale campaign to form an ecological culture among the youth of the republic in support of the national Environmental well-being project
The regional youth environmental public organization "It will be clean" of the Republic of Tatarstan announces the launch of the innovative project "Green Code of Tatarstan", which aims not only to enrich the knowledge of the younger generation about the natural heritage of their native republic, but also to educate active defenders of nature.
The central event of the project will be the Republican educational campaign "Yashel Belem" ("Green Knowledge"), which will be held from March 2 to March 15, 2026. The campaign will unite schoolchildren, students, teachers and eco-activists into teams of 4 people to conduct environmental education events.
"The special feature of the campaign is that it goes beyond the standard environmental measures," the press service of the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan notes. "Participants do not just gain knowledge, but become ambassadors of ecological culture in their educational institutions and communities, spreading green knowledge among their peers."
The teams will have to organize interactive events in three key areas:
- studying the biodiversity of Tatarstan
- implementation of the principles of reasonable consumption
- formation of eco-friendly habits
In the Year of the Unity of the Peoples of Russia and Military and Labor Valor, participants will also be able to discover the unique connection between the national traditions of different peoples of the republic and respect for nature.

The Green Code of Tatarstan project is being implemented with the support of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan using the funds of the grant from the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan for the development of civil society in 2025.
Initiatives of this scale directly contribute to the realization of the goals of the national project "Ecological well-being", in particular, the formation of an environmentally responsible generation and the improvement of environmental literacy of the population. Such civic engagement practices create a solid foundation for the sustainable environmental development of the republic and the country as a whole.
"We are not just teaching ecology, we are creating a new culture of human-nature relations," the It Will Be Clean organization emphasizes.
