The official opening of the new building of the Zakamsk laboratory of the Center for Laboratory Analysis and Technical Measurements for the Republic of Tatarstan branch (TsLATI for the Republic of Tatarstan) took place in Nizhnekamsk. The event was attended by Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Azat Ziganshin, Head of the Nizhnekamsk Municipal District, Mayor of Nizhnekamsk Radmir Belyaev, Head of the Volga-Kama Interregional Department of Rosprirodnadzor Fayaz Shakirov and others.
In his speech, the Minister of Ecology noted that the opening of a new laboratory represents the next step in strengthening the environmental control system on the territory of the Nizhnekamsk industrial hub. "And today we are taking the next important step in strengthening this system. To strengthen federal environmental supervision, we are opening a new modern laboratory," said Azat Ziganshin.
He also said that, thanks to the agreements concluded, the republic's environmentalists are already receiving online data from 10 automatic stations from key companies in the Nizhnekamsk industrial hub. These are PJSC Nizhnekamskneftekhim, JSC TAIF-NK and JSC TANECO.
The laboratory, which is part of the Federal State Budgetary Institution TsLATI for the Volga Federal District of Rosprirodnadzor, is equipped with a modern mobile laboratory complex. The institution's tasks include laboratory and expert support, participation in control and supervisory activities of Rosprirodnadzor, development of environmental documentation and educational activities. 31 workplaces have been created in the laboratory.
Special attention is paid to modern classrooms and laboratory equipment. The staff showed the guests the toxicology room, the chromatographic testing laboratory, where air samples are examined, and the atomic absorption research room, where water samples are taken.
The head of NMR Radmir Belyaev expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic of Tatarstan for the creation of the laboratory, noting the symbolism of the opening of a modern facility for the 60th anniversary of the city: "We are closely cooperating with the Ministry of Ecology of the Republic and the city-forming enterprises. It is right that we are opening a branch together today, because environmental issues are a collective effort."
Azat Ziganshin stressed that Nizhnekamsk, being a large industrial center, is experiencing significant environmental stress, so the opening of such laboratories will help control the environmental situation: "This laboratory will benefit our population and industrial enterprises. Thanks to the support of the Raisa of the Republic of Tatarstan, all the necessary equipment was purchased for 57 million rubles. The laboratory will serve to ensure the environmental safety of the Nizhnekamsk industrial Hub."
It is worth noting that the Nizhnekamsk region has an atmospheric air monitoring system: 5 automatic stations and a mobile laboratory conduct real-time observations, transmitting readings to specialists of the Ministry of Ecology. Local monitoring posts installed at enterprises are also connected to this system. All these measures are aimed at ensuring the ecological well-being of the Nizhnekamsk region and its residents.
In parallel, the reorganization of the Department of State Control (supervision) for the eastern zone of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Volga-Kama Interregional Directorate of Rosprirodnadzor has been completed. To increase the effectiveness of supervision, the department's employees, previously stationed in the cities of Nizhnekamsk, Almetyevsk and Naberezhnye Chelny, have been merged into a single department, which is now located in Nizhnekamsk. The staff of the department has been increased from 6 to 18 units, and the department has been provided with the necessary office equipment. The Department has recently been carrying out control and supervisory activities in 22 municipal districts of the republic.
The opening of the modern laboratory of the Central Laboratory and the consolidation of the territorial body of Rosprirodnadzor are aimed at improving the effectiveness of state environmental supervision in one of the key industrial regions of the Republic of Tatarstan, which is one of the objectives of the national project "Environmental well-being".
